Our history:
The history of " MCLEAD GHERKINS INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED” (MGIPL) originates in 2014, when the first warehouses for storing "preserved gherkins in barrels" were opened. To date, the founder of the company has had experience in this market for more than 8 years.
In 2018, a production facility was opened, producing products under the brand "Velsagro", but the trademark itself was officially registered only in 2022.

Gherkin is a term generally used to refer to a savoury pickled cucumber. Gherkins and commercial cucumbers belong to the same species (Cucumis sativus), but are from different cultivar groups. They are usually picked when 4 to 8 cm (1 to 3 in) in length and pickled in jars or cans with vinegar (often flavored with herbs, particularly dill; hence, "dill pickle") or brine.
